Applied Multi-Touch Project
Dec 2009 30

2009
Working closely with students, this project based course will design, prototype and build a multi-touch table utilizing DIY strategies and open-source technologies. Students will employ interface design and HCI principles to develop this technology for open University use.

The systems utilizes the concept of FTIR (frustrated total internal reflection) with ultra-bright LEDs for illumination. Open source tracking software Community Core Vision is used as well as Tuio that allows for networking to multiple development environments.
